Beleaguered L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling hasn’t only been banned for life from the NBA. Dennis Hof just issued his own order: Don’t bother entering any of my brothels in the state of Nevada, either.
NBA commissioner banned Mr. Sterling for life from the NBA and issued him a fine of $2.5 million for racist comments he made to his mistress on the telephone. He told her not to bring blacks to the games and not to post photos of blacks on her Instagram account.
As a result, Mr. Hof booted him for life from the world famous Bunny Ranch brothel near Carson City, Nev., and from his other six brothels in the state.
“A lot of NBA players come here to party,” Mr. Hof told the Huffington Post. “Out of respect to them, we have banned Sterling from coming here.”
Mr. Hof said in a statement, reported by United Press International, that he also gave the boot to Mr. Sterling to protect his black prostitutes.
“At any given time, 20 to 23 percent of the prostitutes here are African-American,” he said. “And they’re smoking hot. Some of them were crying this morning, so we’re doing this for them as well. We don’t need racists or bigots at the Bunny Ranch.”
At the same time, Mr. Hof wouldn’t confirm or deny if Mr. Sterling had ever visited the ranch.
“I can tell you this: Johnny Buss, one of the owners of the Los Angeles Lakers, and I have had a dual birthday party at the Bunny Ranch for the last 18 years, so a lot of NBA people have been there,” Mr. Hof said.
