BALDWIN, Pa. (AP) - Police have been looking for six gunmen who forced their way into a Pittsburgh-area apartment and briefly kidnapped a woman while her eight children were present.

Police in Baldwin say nobody was hurt in the incident which began about 10 p.m. Wednesday and ended about 4 a.m. Thursday when an Allegheny County SWAT team entered the residence and found the children safe and the gunmen gone. The SWAT team was called because police couldn’t be sure whether any of the suspects remained with the children.

Police say the men drove the woman to an automatic teller machine and forced her to withdraw money before she somehow escaped unharmed. The children, who ranged in age from 1 to 13 years old, weren’t hurt either.

Police haven’t named the suspects.
