CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Five New Hampshire companies have been awarded job training grants to help them train 537 workers in new skills.

The grants total more than $62,000 and matching funds bring the total amount to over $125,000.

One of the companies is Schleuniger Inc. of Manchester, which received over $17,000 for 39 employees to receive training in leadership development, customer service, Microsoft Excel, Adobe InDesign, Access, search engine optimization, and other topics.

VF Corp. doing business as Timberland LLC of Stratham received a training grant of over $34,000 for 85 employees to receive training from Great Bay Community College in customer service, cultural diversity, and business acumen.

Others receiving grants are Goss International of Durham; Vishay HiRel Systems LLC in Dover; and Spaulding Composites Inc. of Rochester.
