GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Two men have been arrested in the shooting death of a North Carolina A&T football player.
Police said 22-year-old Jermane Darnell Clark of Winston-Salem was shot at about 11 p.m. Tuesday. He played in six of A&T’s 11 games last year.
A statement from Greensboro police say 22-year-old Kendrick Louis Robinson and 20-year-old Lemiah Wyatt Sanders Jr. were arrested Thursday morning.
Robinson and Sanders are charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Their status wasn’t immediately known.
Capt. Mike Richey says it appeared Clark was approached by one or more people and an argument started and he was shot in front of his home in Greensboro. Police don’t know what sparked the argument and have not determined a motive.
