The millionaire lawyer who’s letting 18-year-old high-schooler Rachel Canning stay with his family as she sues her parents for money and college tuition allowed her a few years ago to throw a booze-filled party that left her drunk and puking in the streets.
That’s according to court documents about attorney Jon Inglesino — who has two daughters who are friends with Ms. Canning, and who is funding her lawsuit against her parents for $650 a week, for continued payments of her private high school tuition, and for full payment of college, when she goes, The Daily Mail reported.
A judge just this week denied Ms. Canning’s request for the money and the high school tuition, agreeing with her defendant parents that she left her home by choice and moved in with Mr. Inglesino’s family, because she didn’t want to abide house rules.
Court documents from that testimony reveal several details about the ongoing Canning family drama, including an allegation from the parents — Sean and Elizabeth Canning — that Mr. Inglesino allowed Ms. Canning to sample her first taste of alcohol when she was 15 years old, The Daily Mail reported.
The news outlet also reported that Ms. Canning came home so drunk from vodka at Mr. Inglesino’s home when she was 15 that she vomited on a sidewalk and in a garbage can, in front of her father.
The Canning parents also say that Mr. Inglesino’s wife, Amy, provided their daughter and friends with wine coolers during a limousine trip to New York, on Ms. Canning’s 15th birthday, The Daily Mail reported.
The Canning parents say Mr. Inglesino is enabling their daughter, and that any court allegations that they have abused her are completely untrue.
Ms. Canning’s claim to college tuition is due for court hearing on April 22.
