Ask Americans how they feel about Obamacare and 49 percent of them will tell you: Pessimistic.
That’s according to a Fox News poll to gauge Americans’ emotional reactions to Obamacare’s rollout. Pessimistic topped the list of responses, followed by “scared,” with 45 percent of poll participants choosing this emotion, then “angry,” which 43 percent selected, Fox News said.
Still, 40 percent of respondents say they’re optimistic about Obamacare, Fox News reported.
By political party, Democrats by and large feel the more optimistic — 63 percent, the poll reported. Two-thirds of Republicans, or 68 percent, said they’re “angry,” 67 percent say they’re “scared,” and 66 percent, “pessimistic,” Fox News reported.
But a majority of all political parties surveyed — Democrats, Republicans and independents — give thumbs down to the health care law in general. Fifty-seven percent now oppose Obamacare, compared to 38 percent in favor.
The Fox News survey of 1,002 randomly chosen telephone participants, conducted between March 2 and March 4, has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.
