CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A jury has convicted a 34-year-old Cheyenne man of gunning down two people and critically wounding a third.

Nathaniel Castellanos was found guilty Friday of two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1fMoXsK ) that the jury deliberated for about two hours before finding Castellano guilty on all the charges against him.

The penalty phase of the trial will start Monday before Laramie County District Judge Thomas Campbell. The jury will decide whether Castellanos should be sentenced to life in prison or receive the death penalty.

Castellanos was convicted of killing 21-year-old Corey Walker and 25-year-old Megan McIntosh and wounding 26-year-old Amber McGuire on Aug. 23, 2011.

The attorney for Castellanos contended someone else shot the three.
