TRONDHEIM, Norway (AP) - Johannes Rydzek of Germany won his second Nordic combined World Cup event Thursday, and German teammate Eric Frenzel maintained his lead in the overall standings.

In the 10-kilometer cross-country ski race, Rydzek crossed the line 1.4 seconds ahead of Olympic gold medalist Joergen Graabak of Norway. Magnus Moan of Norway was third, 10.2 seconds behind.

Tomas Portyk of the Czech Republic won the ski jump although Austrian veteran Wilhelm Denifl had the longest leap - 139.5 meters. The Czech jumped four meters shorter but got 130.6 points.

Frenzel, who came in fourth in the cross-country ski race, leads the overall standings with 963 points. Rydzek is second with 643 points and Akito Watabe of Japan is third with 590 with two competitions remaining this season.
