CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - A company that handles customer calls for corporations and creates websites for companies and sells and markets their products is consolidating its operations in Charlotte.

The Charlotte Observer reported (https://bit.ly/1hQmMD2) that Red Ventures of Indian Land is closing operations in San Antonio and Miami later this year and will move the positions to its Charlotte-area headquarters.

The company’s only other operation is in Wilmington.

Spokeswoman Kylie McQuain said the move is designed to put employees closer to one another. McQuain says that should help the company hire and retain works.

She says about 55 employees were not offered the opportunity to move to North Carolina. McQuain says the company will help those workers find other jobs.

She says most of the jobs involve inside sales.
