GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Christian Adams scored 20 points and Carter Kretchman added 17 as Fargo Oak Grove held off Flasher 67-65 in the first round of the North Dakota boys Class B basketball tournament on Thursday.

The Bulldogs trailed 43-23 early in the second half but made a charge behind Zack Schmidt, who had 20 of his 29 points after the break and Taylor Krenz, who added 12 of his 15.

Flasher (20-5) got as close as 66-65 on Peyton Gabrielson’s 3-pointer with 21 seconds left.

Christian made a free throw for the Grovers (24-2) with 7 seconds left and Gabrielson’s last-second 3-pointer from near half court banged off the rim. Gabrielson had 11 points.
