COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says a man wanted in a shooting death last month has been arrested in Virginia.

Lott said 26-year-old Stanley Jones was arrested in Norfolk, Va., earlier this week.

The sheriff said Jones is charged with murder, three counts of armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, assault and burglary.

Authorities say the first of the seven crimes began in December.

Lott says Jones and an unknown suspect kicked in the door of a home in Forest Acres on Feb. 4 and shot a man.

Coroner Gary Watts said 29-year-old Tresvon Coker died in a Columbia hospital Feb. 25.

The sheriff said Jones was being returned to Columbia. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
