KREISCHBERG, Austria (AP) - Mans Hedberg of Sweden and Sarka Pancochova of Czech Republic won the season’s final World Cup slopestyle events on Thursday to take the snowboard discipline titles.
Hedberg earned 91.00 points to beat Finland’s Petja Piiroinen, with 85.25, and Philipp Kundratitz of Austria, with 73.50.
Hedberg finished on 1,460.0 points, 340 ahead of Canada’s Maxence Parrot.
In the women’s event, Pancochova gained 95.50 points for her third career win. Henna Ikola of Finland was second at 83.00 and Klaudia Medlova of Slovakia third at 76.00.
Panchochova finished on top of the season standings with 2,500 points, overtaking Cheryl Maas of the Netherlands, who has 1,800.
A group of leading snowboarders, including Maas and Sochi Olympics gold medalist Jamie Anderson of the United States, skipped the event to compete at the U.S. Open in Vail, Colorado.
