BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz has named his seven appointees to a committee exploring the possibility of building a new stadium for the Buffalo Bills.
Poloncarz included himself among the appointees, as well as deputy executive Richard Tobe, who represented the county in negotiating a 10-year lease agreement with the Bills in 2012. Other appointees are former Democratic U.S. Rep. Kathleen Hochul, who is now an M&T Bank vice president, and Clover Management president Michael Joseph.
The selections come a month after Gov. Andrew Cuomo named his five appointees.
The Bills will fill out the committee with seven appointees.
The establishment of a committee was required as part of the lease deal in a bid to help ensure the Bills stay in western New York.
