NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) - About 130 members of the Rhode Island Air National Guard are returning home following an overseas deployment.

The personnel are members of the 143rd Airlift Wing. The unit is scheduled to return to Quonset Air National Guard Base on Thursday and Friday, along with the C-130J Super Hercules aircraft used during their mission.

The unit provided air transport involving moving troops, hauling supplies and participating in humanitarian efforts in Southwest Asia. Their deployment was part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
