LONDON (AP) - Ecuador completed an impressive comeback from three goals down to beat Australia 4-3 in a friendly match between the two World Cup teams on Wednesday night.

Australia got off to a strong start at the Den in London and quickly built a three-goal lead as veteran Tim Cahill scored a brace and became his country’s leading scorer, with 31 goals. Mile Jedinak also scored from the penalty spot.

The Socceroos looked set for their third successive win under new boss Ange Postecoglu but the lead was not enough. Fidel Martinez pulled one back before Australia goalkeeper Mitch Langerak was sent off for a foul on Enner Valencia.

Replacement Brad Jones then could not stop Segundo Castillo’s penalty before Valencia equalized and Edison Mendez struck the winner.
