COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for the south coast of South Carolina.

The weather service said low temperatures early Tuesday were expected to be around or just below the freezing mark.

Forecasters earlier Tuesday canceled a winter weather advisory for parts of the Pee Dee, saying no significant precipitation was expected. But the weather service said slick spots were possible on the roads and bridges.

Low temperatures Tuesday ranged from 19 in Cheraw to 37 on Hilton Head island.
