UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - The Connecticut Sun traded forward Sandrine Gruda to the Los Angeles Sparks in exchange for the 11th overall pick in the 2014 WNBA draft and a second-round pick next year.

The 6-foot-4 Gruda has played just 85 games for Connecticut since being selected by the Sun in the 2007 draft. She averaged 10.2 points and 4.7 rebounds.

Chris Sienko, the Sun’s general manager, says the team owes it to fans to bring players to Connecticut who want to play there.

Gruda, who also averaged 9.8 points while playing center for France in the 2012 London Olympics, says playing for the Sparks is a dream come true.
