PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The Rhode Island economic development agency that is suing Curt Schilling over his defunct video game company has scheduled a meeting related to the litigation.

A spokeswoman for the Commerce Corp., formerly called the Economic Development Corp., says the board plans to go into executive session Monday night to hear a presentation related to 38 Studios. She said she didn’t know who is making the presentation. No public announcements are expected.

The EDC sued the ex-Boston Red Sox pitcher and others after the company collapsed. The lawsuit claims the board was misled into approving a $75 million loan guarantee for 38 Studios in 2010. The state is on the hook for some $90 million.

The General Assembly this session passed legislation designed to encourage out-of-court settlements.
