PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - A federal courthouse in downtown Prescott is closed because of concerns about water damage from roof leaks in the building.
U.S. District personnel have vacated the court’s rented space in the downtown Post Office building pending results of an environmental study of the damage and possible repairs.
The Daily Courier (https://bit.ly/1jLYw5D ) reports that the General Services Administration suspended occupancy of the building back in December.
The building dates back to the early 1930s.
The Prescott courthouse is used on a part-time basis. The federal court also has courthouses or part-time facilities in Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff and Yuma.
