AIKEN, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina congressman is sponsoring an event to acquaint military veterans with resources available to them.
U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson is holding Monday’s event at the Aiken County Shrine Club on Columbia Highway. The fair is being held to connect veterans living in the 2nd Congressional District with employers, government agencies and other support networks.
Representatives from the Social Security Administration, the Military Officers Association of America, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the South Carolina National Guard and several volunteer organizations are attending.
