SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels says a foundation has provided his office with 120 new handguns and also plans to provide a helicopter and a drone.

Dannels says the office has already received 120 new Glock handguns paid for by the Warren G. Buffett Foundation, which has a research farm in the southeastern Arizona county.

The Sierra Vista Herald (https://bit.ly/1gMZFHB ) reports that Dannels says support from the foundation in the coming year will provide the Sheriff’s Office with a helicopter for law enforcement and search and rescue missions.

He says it’ll also provided a drone that could be used for jail security, search and rescue, investigations and assisting other agencies.

Foundation President Ann Kelly declined Monday to discuss the support the foundation is providing Cochise County.
