RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) - East Central University’s Henry Pwono and Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Michelle Fisher are the Great American Conference men’s and women’s Players of the Week.
The conference announced the awards Monday.
Pwono was chosen men’s Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 36 points and pulling down 15 rebounds in a win over Southeastern Oklahoma State and scoring 28 points in a loss to Arkansas Tech.
Fisher wins the women’s award after tying her career-high with 31 points in a win over Southern Nazarene. She had eight points in a win over Northwestern Oklahoma State to move into fourth place on the all-time scoring list at SWOSU.
