Dozens were injured and at least one killed in a highway pileup in snowy Denver that involved 104 vehicles.
The name and age of the killed individual was not released.
The weekend wreck on Interstate 25 spanned about two miles, The Associated Press reported. Northbound lanes closed down for hours, while the 30 who were injured were flown to area hospitals.
Meanwhile, the drivers who weren’t injured were sent on city buses to speak to accident investigators, AP said.
Snow was largely to blame for the wreck, and weather forecasters say the system is slowly moving from the region.
“We’re on the front leading edge of it, so there’s some moisture coming up,” National Weather Service meteorologist Jim Kalina said, in the AP report.
