FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky artists who are qualified to conduct residencies in schools may apply to be included in the online Teaching Artists Directory.

The Kentucky Arts Council says it is accepting applications until March 15 for the index.

Applicants must reside in Kentucky and have the skills required to work with teachers and students to design and implement arts education programs.

Council Executive Director Lori Meadows says the council requires schools applying for grants to work with artists from the directory.

Eligible are artists working in any medium, including visual arts, performing arts, literary arts and folk arts. Artists are allowed to apply in more than one discipline or medium but must submit separate applications.
