THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) - Dutch speedskater Sven Kramer says he is parting ways with coach Gerard Kemkers, five weeks after he won two gold medals at the Sochi Winter Olympics.

Kramer announced the split on Friday, after successfully defending his 5,000-meter title, winning the team pursuit and a silver in the 10,000 at Sochi.

The greatest skater of his generation, Kramer is also remembered for his blunder in the 2010 Vancouver Games, where he was cruising to a gold medal in the 10,000 until Kemkers guided him into the wrong lane, leading to his disqualification.

Despite the setback, Kramer stuck with Kemkers all the way to Sochi, but says he is looking for a new coach to prepare him for the next Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
