ROANOKE, Va. (AP) - A sorority at Roanoke College in Salem has been suspended from campus.

Phi Mu national president Kris Bridges told the Roanoke Times (https://bit.ly/1eWf1eF) that the local sorority was stripped of its charter for failing to fix unspecified problems.

Bridges says no single incident prompted the suspension.

Bridges says national officers had visited the campus several times in the past few years. She says the local chapter didn’t live up to the national organization’s values.

Roanoke College spokeswoman Teresa Gereaux says the sorority won’t be allowed back on campus for at least four years.
