An angry liberal radio host with an anti-gun bent went on a rant during a recent broadcast about new Georgia legislation to expand the concealed carry laws, ultimately sending out a wish that he could shoot an NRA board member.
Host Mike Malloy made the shocking statements as a means of protesting stand your ground laws in the state of Georgia.
The Safe Carry Protection Act recently passed both House and Senate, but still needs the signature of the governor to take effect. If signed, permitted gun carriers will then be allowed to bring their weapons — concealed — into schools, bars, churches and sections of airports, Breitbart.com reported,
But that’s not sitting well with Mr. Malloy — a liberal crusader who opposes the gun rights law yet, simultaneously, wants to take up arms against the NRA.
He said, during a broadcast about the bill, as reported by Breitbart: “[The] organization founded by Gabrielle Giffords … calls it the ’most extreme gun bill in America.’ The NRA, which they’re behind this of course, they want guns everywhere. … I would like to invite one of the NRA board members, and I’ll be armed, let’s just get this over with OK? Come on down to Georgia, and I’ll be packing heat, and you be packing heat or whether you want to or not, I don’t give a damn, it’s up to you. And you come, meet me someplace, and all of a sudden, see, we have stand your ground here, and all of a sudden I’m going to feel real … threatened by you. And I will shoot you! If I feel threatened. The law says I can.”
Mr. Malloy then broke into laughter, Breitbart reported.
