COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (AP) - A relative says the 14-year-old boy charged in the slayings of two family members in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, has long been troubled.

Anthony Samuel says his half-brother, Eldon G. Samuel III, has a history of violence, frequently picking fights with people and beating up his younger brother.

The Spokesman-Review reported Thursday that Eldon Samuel III is jailed in Kootenai County on $1 million bond.

He faces charges that he killed his father, Eldon Samuel Jr., and his 13-year-old brother, Jonathan Samuel, on Monday night. No motive has been offered for the slayings.
