CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The Natrona County School Board has selected a Laramie firm to construct a $36.6-million high school.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1gtUvmI ) the board has approved negotiations for construction of the new Roosevelt High School and Center for Advanced and Professional Studies.
Laramie-based Groathouse Construction says it will honor its original bid amount of $36.6 million despite a bidding error in which it left out the cost of an $85,000 overhead door.
Groathouse underbid two competitors for the project by about $1.5 million. One of the other companies was in Cheyenne and the other is based in Utah.
Groundbreaking and construction are expected to begin in April. The facility is expected to begin hosting classes in January 2016.
