CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Gov. Maggie Hassan has directed flags to fly at half-staff until sundown in New Hampshire, in honor of the two firefighters killed in a fire at a Boston brownstone.

Flags were lowered Thursday for Lt. Edward Walsh and firefighter Michael Kennedy.

Hassan said the deaths Wednesday are a tragic reminder that first responders courageously risk their lives every day to ensure public safety, and are owed a never-ending debt of gratitude.
