NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The 2014 Essence Festival has released its night-by-night line-up of performers for its 20th anniversary celebration scheduled July 3-6.

Prince will headline the festival’s July 4 opening night in the Superdome. He’s the only act listed for the main stage, but organizers said Thursday he will have “special guest performers” during his set.

Superlounge performers include Eve, King, Stephanie Mills, Leela James, Naughty By Nature, Kevin Ross, Estelle and Greta Prince.

On July 5, Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, The Roots, Ledisi and Tank will be on the main stage, while 112, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Michelle Williams, Tevin Campbell, Liv Warfield, Marsha Ambrosius, PJ Morton, Doug E. Fresh and Kourtney Heart are in the superlounges on Saturday.

Lionel Richie, Charlie Wilson, Erykah Badu and Tamar Braxton will headline closing night, Sunday, July 6.

Robert Glasper, Amel Larrieux, K. Michelle, Sebastian Mikael, Raheem DaVaughn, Sevyn Streeter, Elle Varner, August Alsina and The Original Pinettes close out the superlounges.

Single day tickets, at $58 each, went on sale Thursday.

Coca-Cola is the festival’s presenting sponsor. Major sponsors include Ford, McDonald’s, My Black Is Beautiful, State Farm, Verizon and Walmart.
