WASHINGTON (AP) - Shooting guard Bradley Beal missed the end of the first half and beginning of the second of the Washington Wizards’ game against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night with a right hip pointer.

Beal walked toward the locker room holding his right side with a little under 3 minutes remaining in the second quarter after colliding with a Suns player, and the Wizards said his return was questionable. But while Beal was not on the floor to open the third quarter - Martell Webster started in his place - he did get back in the game with a little more than 6 minutes remaining.

The second-year guard, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2012 draft, is averaging 17.2 points and 3.3 assists this season, second on the team to John Wall in both categories.

The Suns led the Wizards 54-44 at halftime. Beal had eight points, four assists and three rebounds when he left.
