IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Some faculty at the University of Iowa has criticized how quickly a consulting firm is reviewing school records.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (https://icp-c.com/1grgsml ) Deloitte Consulting recently asked faculty to produce information ahead of a school review scheduled to begin Monday. The firm will host a campus meeting Friday to answer questions.

Some faculty told the newspaper they were given 24 hours to produce the information. UI Provost Barry Butler says materials ranged from financial information to details about department staffing.

Deloitte is leading a $2.3 million comprehensive review of higher education in the state as part of a request by the Iowa Board of Regents. The firm has similar review plans for Iowa State University and Northern Iowa University.

A message for the regents was not immediately returned Wednesday.
