WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) - Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s rodeo teams are in the hunt for a spot in the College National Finals Rodeo.
The men’s and women’s teams have several competitors contending for high honors within the Central Plains Region. Bulldog rodeo faithful will get their chance to see the teams in action when they host the SWOSU Rodeo April 10-12.
The women’s team has been dominant in building a comfortable lead in the region, winning four of the six rodeos they’ve competed in. The ladies have a lead of nearly 800 points over Northwestern Oklahoma State and rank 11th nationally.
On the men’s side, SWOSU has won three of the six rodeos for the year, including two-of-three so far this spring.
The Bulldogs return to action at Southeastern Oklahoma State April 3-5.
