Without naming names, Speaker John Boehner took to the House floor on Tuesday to remind his colleagues of proper dress practices when addressing the chamber.
The Ohio Republican reviewed the proper “parliamentary practice” before moving on to the House dress code, Roll Call reported.
“Members should wear appropriate business attire during all sittings of the House, however brief their appearance on the floor might be,” he said.
“And you know who you are,” Mr. Boehner said, receiving muffled laughter. “The chair appreciates the attention of all the members to these matters.”
This isn’t the first time Mr. Boehner has called out Congress members for their sloppy appearances.
In January 2012, he spent about three minutes going over the same rules just before the president’s State of the Union address. He even cracked the same joke.
