BOSTON (AP) - Boston guard Rajon Rondo left the Celtics’ game against Toronto after getting cut on his forehead.

The injury happened in front of Toronto’s bench midway through the third quarter Wednesday night. A few Raptors and Celtics checked on him before calling Boston trainer Ed Lacerte.

Holding a towel to his face, Rondo walked with Lacerte down the tunnel next to the Raptors bench.

The Celtics said Rondo received nine stitches in the middle of his forehead above his nose. He came back to the bench early in the fourth quarter.
