COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - All five of the expected Republican primary challengers to U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham have filed their paperwork and paid the $10,440 fee to run.
State Sen. Lee Bright or Roebuck and Lowcountry businesswoman Nancy Mace each went to the South Carolina Election Commission on Wednesday to write a check and file paperwork. They join Columbia pastor Det Bowers, Upstate businessman Richard Cash and Orangeburg attorney Bill Connor as candidates on the Republican ballot for the June 10 primary.
Democrat Jay Stamper and Libertarian Victor Kocher also have filed to run in the November election for the U.S. Senate seat.
Graham is seeking a third term. He received 67 percent of the vote in a primary against one challenger in 2008.
Filing for the June primaries continues through Sunday.
