LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Gov. Rick Snyder has signed legislation that doubles the production cap for microbreweries and a bill making it easier for telephone companies to discontinue land lines.

A bipartisan nine-bill package signed Tuesday lets microbrewers produce 60,000 barrels of beer a year, up from the current 30,000 barrel limit. Startup craft brewers are allowed limited self-distribution under the new law.

Snyder also signed a bill Tuesday that streamlines regulations for phone companies that seek to end traditional land line services. The bill drops a previous requirement that at least two other companies offer services in an area where a third company wants to end traditional service.

Snyder also has signed a bill letting high schools award diplomas to Vietnam War veterans who didn’t graduate because of their service.
