TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Parts of Oklahoma could see the season’s first batch of severe thunderstorms later this week.
The National Weather Service says a cold front is expected to sweep across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas late Thursday, with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing along the front. A few strong to severe storms are possible later in the evening for the area.
The timing of the front could result in showers and thunderstorms continuing into early Friday.
The service forecasts warmer weather for the weekend in northeast Oklahoma, when winds from the south return and increase.
