LAS VEGAS (AP) - Clark County officials have issued a dust advisory in advance of heavy winds expected to sweep through the Las Vegas area.
The warning goes into effect Tuesday evening and runs through Wednesday night. The National Weather Service says gusts of up to 45 mph are predicted in the valley, with the strongest winds expected in the middle of the night.
Clark County air quality officials are issuing notices to construction sites to take steps to prevent blowing dust.
Weather service officials also warn of crosswinds that could make freeway driving difficult.
