CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming State Treasurer Mark Gordon has launched a campaign to continue holding that office.

Gordon was making campaign stops around the state Tuesday after announcing his campaign in his hometown of Buffalo on Monday.

Gordon is a Republican. He has been treasurer since Gov. Matt Mead appointed him in November 2012 to replace Treasurer Joe Meyer, who died of lung cancer.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1dsUsrR) the treasurer’s office manages and invests more than $17 billion in state money.
