A truck driver carting 42,000 pounds of honey caused a massive traffic backlog on the 605 Freeway in California, after he slid and overturned, and the honey started seeping onto the road.

The semi-truck tipped over Monday afternoon near the community of Industry, backing up traffic for miles and closing down connecting roadways for the cleanup crews, NBC Los Angeles reported,

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, California Highway Patrol officers said. But Twitter posters did have some fun with the incident — with even police getting in on the jokes.

“Honey, I’m going to be late,” the California Highway Patrol put out, in a tweet reported by the NBC affiliate.
