GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - The University of North Dakota has secured its 12th straight berth in the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey Tournament.

North Dakota will face Wisconsin in the Midwest Region semifinal on Friday in Cincinnati.

UND enters the NCAA postseason with a 23-13-3 record. The school has won seven men’s hockey national championships, a total topped only by Michigan’s nine.

UND and Wisconsin last met in February when North Dakota picked up a 4-1 win and a 1-1 overtime tie.

Both programs have squared off twice in the NCAA tournament. First in 1982 at the NCAA title game when UND won 5-2 and later in 2008 in the Midwest Region championship.
