BOSTON (AP) - U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren is hosting what she’s calling a “Massachusetts Business Matchmaker” event to help local businesses, government agencies and government contractors forge partnerships.
Warren said she wants to make sure small businesses owners have a better understanding of opportunities to work with the federal government.
The Massachusetts Democrat said the Monday event will let contractors and government agencies meet one-on-one with qualified small business owners, and will allow small businesses to highlight their services and goods.
The event is scheduled for Monday at 9 a.m. at Roxbury Community College in Boston.
Also scheduled to attend are representatives of the General Services Administration, the Small Business Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
