COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - An event scheduled for the weekend is showcasing the talent of international soccer enthusiasts in the Columbia area.
On Saturday, organizers of the 19th Annual International Festival of Columbia are set to host a soccer competition at Memorial Stadium.
Teams will be made up of amateur athletes from more than 20 different countries. All participants live, work or study in the Columbia area.
The event is $2 per person, and children under 5 are free. Proceeds benefit the Columbia International Festival.
