RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring is continuing on a two-week public safety tour of the state.
Herring launched the tour on Monday in Hampton Roads and has events scheduled in Leesburg, Arlington and Fairfax on Friday. He has planned 22 regional meetings.
Officials say the meetings will allow Herring to hear from local public safety and law enforcement leaders and elected officials about challenges in their area and ways that his office can help protect their communities.
Herring’s office says invitations have been extended to community leaders, law enforcement and public safety officials from 58 localities.
