CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Cameron Carvelli scored seven of his 13 points in overtime to lead Robert C. Byrd to a 78-73 comeback win over Westside in the Class AA semifinals Friday.

Top-seeded Robert C. Byrd (24-0) faces defending champion Bluefield on Saturday. It’ll be the first finals appearance for Robert C. Byrd since it lost to Fairmont Senior in Class AAA in 1996.

Trailing 37-29 at halftime, Luke Dyer scored 13 points in the third quarter to ignite a 15-6 run for Robert C. Byrd.

Will Fox had six points in the closing minutes of regulation as Westside scored eight of the final 10 to force overtime.

Justin Cogar had 21 points and 10 rebounds while Fox finished with 20 points for fourth-seeded Westside (20-7).

Robert C. Byrd’s Devonti Birch added 16 points.
