BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A storm system could bring up to half a foot of snow to northeastern North Dakota.

The National Weather Service has posted a winter storm warning for the region Thursday night through Friday. Forecasters say 4-6 inches of snow and winds gusting more than 35 mph are possible Friday.

The weather service says the additional moisture is within the norm for this time of year and shouldn’t significantly increase the flood risk.

A winter weather advisory is posted for north central North Dakota Thursday night through Friday afternoon, with 1-3 inches of snow and strong winds expected.
