IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - An Iowa City man has been accused of posing as an FBI agent to rob a victim he allegedly met online.

The Coralville Police Department says 51-year-old Dwaine A. Toran was arrested early Thursday. He faces a charge of second-degree robbery.

A police complaint says Toran met a man Wednesday afternoon at a Coralville inn, following an arrangement online for a sex act between the two.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (https://icp-c.com/1eWTSgP ) Toran is accused of claiming to be an FBI agent and refusing to let the victim leave the inn. The man says Toran took $150 and threatened to arrest and imprison him if he reported the incident.

Toran is currently at the Johnson County Jail. Court records do not list an attorney.
