WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama will speak at the graduation ceremony at Worcester Technical High School in June.
The White House says Obama will travel to Worcester, Mass., to deliver the commencement address on June 11 because Worcester Tech has boosted its graduation rate and put in place vocational programs it describes as “cutting edge.”
The commencement address is one of at least two that Obama is scheduled to deliver in June.
The White House says Obama also will deliver the commencement address at the University of California, Irvine, on June 14. That’s the 50th anniversary of the dedication of the campus by President Lyndon B. Johnson.
